Forget treasure hunting the old-fashioned way—it’s slow, expensive, and exhausting! Tony has a better way to get rich—just give him a hand, and he’ll share the fortune with you!
Welcome to adulthood-and curse you, work!
Tony shed bitter tears when he realized he’d have to work until retirement—or maybe even until the end of his days! This hard truth hit him after graduating school when his parents told him to get a job and move out as soon as possible.
With no choice left, Tony packed his things and left, waving goodbye. His parents did the same, finally breathing freely—they had long dreamed of getting rid of their slacker son, who made it clear year after year that he had no intention of living up to their hopes.
Dreams of buried treasure
Work split Tony’s life in two—it became that “crack” between his buttocks that turned existence into a total pain. Still, he had to support himself and grind five days a week.
Tony dreamed of finding a treasure. He knew that if he struck gold, he could forget about the cursed job forever. Every spare moment, he searched for that one spot where someone might have hidden riches.
The nuances of archaeology
Searching on land turned out to be a nightmare. At first, Tony wanted to act like an archaeologist—just dig anywhere until he hit the jackpot. But then he learned that real archaeologists don’t work like that at all!
First, they study historical events, then pinpoint a possible location, and only then start digging. Nobody, for example, searches for the Duchess of Bouville’s lost necklace across the entire globe! An archaeologist first finds out that she last wore it to meet the Marquis of Bouillon in the village of Montier, north of Paris, where she likely lost it—perhaps at the mill or in a hayloft. The key is to dig where the settlement once stood, not turn all of France upside down.
Pirate treasures
Tony gave up on land-based treasure hunting and started studying pirate legends, hoping to find traces of a hefty chest that once belonged to Francis Drake or Long John Silver.
But what a tough challenge it was! He had to do the same kind of research as land archaeologists—though at least working underwater seemed a bit easier…
Where’s the gold around here?
Then Tony had an epiphany—he was going about this all wrong! He needed to look for treasures resting at the bottom of the ocean! But, of course, not on his own—otherwise, he’d spend a lifetime staring at maps, trying to figure out where some pirate buried his pieces of eight.
Tony didn’t waste any time—he rented diving gear and plunged into the depths. He took with him an expensive bait from a fishing store and a can of fresh worms, wriggling like tiny snakes. His plan? Ask the underwater creatures if they knew where to find some treasure.
New friends know where the treasure is
It would be naive to think that fish would just spill their secrets to the first diver they saw, so Tony brought some delicious treats to help him make new friends. The only problem? Carrying worms and bait underwater was ridiculously inconvenient…
Tony could really use some help. And if someone lends a hand, he’ll generously share the treasure! After all, who else but the fish would know where chests full of gold and jewels are hidden? Help Tony, and you could be as rich as a pirate who has plundered dozens of merchant ships!
