Aladdin found the magic lamp, but his adventures didn’t end there! Now, it’s time to fight for the heart of the princess, whom the sultan wants to marry off to another man…
The Hard Life of a Laborer
For many years, Aladdin lived in poverty. Every day he would go to the market, hoping a rich merchant would hire him as a laborer. Sometimes Aladdin would steal, and he was quite skilled at taking things without anyone noticing. The little thief never got caught!
One day, Aladdin met the sultan and the princess at the market. He fell in love with the sultan’s daughter at first sight! Early the next morning, Aladdin went to the palace to ask for the princess’s hand in marriage. The sultan was so taken aback by his boldness that he didn’t even order the fool to be executed—he simply commanded that Aladdin be thrown out of the palace gates.
The Magic Servant
All of this happened before Aladdin acquired the magic lamp! Once he had it, he no longer worked at the market and stopped stealing.
The former laborer now had his own genie who could grant any wish. The genie built him a luxurious house, which looked like the palace of a high-ranking noble. The genie filled the basements of Aladdin’s new home with gold, and he became a true rich man.
When Politics Gets in the Way of Love
And so, it was time to return to the palace, but not as a poor beggar wandering the market from dawn till dusk, but as a successful and wealthy merchant! Aladdin wanted to present himself as a rich merchant so that no one would ask about the magic lamp. After all, someone could steal such a treasure, or even kill him in his sleep, or poison him by adding venom to his wine—people would go to any lengths to possess their own genie…
The sultan received Aladdin at the palace as a proper guest. He was impressed by the guest’s wealth and might have been willing to give him his beloved daughter, if it weren’t for the cursed politics! The ruler wanted to marry the princess to Prince Abdul-Ali, hoping to end the conflicts at the western borders. So, Aladdin decided to show the sultan ten thousand wonders, hoping to convince him to change his mind.
Thousands of Wonders in Every Form
The next day, a herd of purebred snow-white horses was brought to the palace. The sultan was very pleased with the gift from the man courting his daughter, but he still intended to marry the princess to Abdul-Ali. Aladdin had no choice but to continue working his magic, ordering the genie to perform one miracle after another.
The sultan received ten caravans of gold, a herd of excellent camels, chests filled with precious gems, and many other gifts. Every day, new treasures and jewels created by the genie appeared at the palace. The sultan accepted the gifts with a thousand thanks to Aladdin, but nothing changed—he still intended to marry the princess off to the prince and end the military conflicts.
Mountains of Gold and an Army as a Gift
Aladdin had to buy ten thousand warriors and give them to the sultan to strengthen the borders. Finally, the sultan changed his mind about the princess’s marriage: after all the gifts presented to him by his future son-in-law, he couldn’t act otherwise. Aladdin received the sultan’s blessing to marry the princess, and Prince Abdul-Ali was sent away.
The borders were strengthened, the sultan’s treasury was bursting at the seams, and the princess and her chosen one were happy. The sultan ordered a wedding to be held, which turned into an endless celebration that lasted for nearly two months.
The Genie is at Your Service
By the way, while everyone has forgotten about the magic lamp, you can make use of it. Of course, the genie only obeys its master, but who knows—maybe he’ll be in a good mood and grant you mountains of gold!
